In 2021, federal delegates paid 2.2 million KM for seven sessions

(Patria) - The published official report states that the delegates of the House of Peoples in the parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past year, specifically from January 1 to December 31, 2021, earned 2.2 million KM, more precisely 2,235,913 KM. This money refers to their salaries, separate living allowance, lump sum, commissions, vacation pay, per diems, transportation, accommodation, weekend allowances, and hot meal.

This concerns 56 delegates who, according to information from this report, earned more than 5,000 KM per session.

When it comes to earnings, Tomislav Martinović from HDZ, the Chairman of the House of Peoples, earned the most in 2021, receiving a total of 57,409 KM based on all the above-listed items. Thus, he was paid 42,058 KM in salaries and an additional 15,351 KM in allowances.

Right behind him is Mladen Lonić from SDP, who collected 954,836 KM last year, while his party colleague Dragan Stevanović (SDP) earned the least, receiving 1,554 KM in salaries and a lump sum of 319.36 KM in the past year.

Drago Puzigaća, an independent delegate, was also among those who earned a considerable sum of money last year, receiving a total of 52,908 KM including all allowances. Following him in earnings is Marija Iličić from HDZ, who earned a total of 50,709 KM last year including all allowances.

All other delegates also earned on average between 40,000 and 50,000 KM in total.

If all the above items were summed up, it is important to note that 163,095 KM was spent from the budget solely on the separate living allowance of delegates, with the caveat that there are indeed those who come from various parts of the Federation of BiH.

Furthermore, 137,137 KM was paid for lump sums, and 42,100 KM for accommodation.

Vacation pay amounted to 23,736 KM, while 86,475 KM was paid for weekend allowances. There are also the use of official vehicles (5,411 KM), hot meals (110,260 KM), commissions (5,851 KM), per diems (87.50 KM), and other expenses, so when everything is added up, the figure is slightly over 2.2 million KM that was paid into the accounts of federal delegates last year, N1 reports.

There would be nothing controversial about these salaries and figures if the federal delegates had been diligent in their sessions last year, given that according to statistics, the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament held only seven sessions, considering that other convened sessions were often interrupted or not held.

This can best be observed by looking at the session convening diary, as on the official website of the FBiH Parliament, it can be seen that they started the past year by convening the 8th regular session and ended it with the 15th regular session, which was held in mid-December.
