Prosecutor Simeunović elected to HJPC, Mijović had one less vote

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Biljana Simeunović has been elected as a member of the HJPC of BiH from the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, replacing the former representative Jadranka Lokmić-Misirača.

The voting took place on 09/24/2020, between 9 AM and 4 PM, in compliance with all epidemiological measures, as well as voting and election procedures, in the Grand Hall of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, and in the presence of the appointed commission for conducting and supervising the voting process.

All registered candidates, Ivana Petković (8 votes), Biljana Simeunović (19 votes), Gordana Bosiljčić (5 votes), Vedrana Mijović (18 votes), and Violeta Mandić (4 votes) had the opportunity to be present throughout the voting and vote counting process.

Biljana Simeunović was born on 11/06/1960 in Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She graduated from the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo in 1987, and passed the bar exam in 1990. She began her professional career in the economy in 1984, and from November 1988 to July 1996, she worked at the Basic Court in Bijeljina in the positions of trainee, professional associate, and judge.

From July 1996 to February 2001, she worked as a lawyer in a law firm in Bijeljina. From February 2001 to December 2003, she worked in the Government of Republika Srpska as the Secretary of the Government.

She was appointed prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 12/01/2003.

She was elected as a member of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 11/02/2008, by the prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She is a participant in numerous seminars and conferences at home and abroad.
