(Patria) - The Republican Public Prosecutor's Office of RS proposed a one-month pre-trial detention for the mayor of Teslić, Milan Milićević, and city councilors Mehmed Dubravac and Meša Jašarević, who are suspected of accepting bribes and abuse of influence.
- The pre-trial detention against the suspects Milan Milićević, Mehmed Dubravac, and Meša Jašarević was proposed for reasons stipulated by the Law on Criminal Procedure of Republika Srpska, namely due to a well-founded fear that they might destroy, hide, alter, or falsify evidence important for the criminal proceedings while at liberty, and that they might obstruct the criminal proceedings by influencing witnesses - the Prosecutor's Office announced.
Members of the Criminal Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska searched the City Administration building in Teslić on Monday, June 9, after searches were conducted at the premises of Milićević, Jašarević, and Dubravac.
The Republican Public Prosecutor's Office previously announced that during the search, approximately 400,000 KM was found with suspect M.M., while approximately 50,000 KM was found with suspect M.D.
