Prosecutor's Office of KS: Salamović and Sulejmanović arrested

(Patria) - By order of the acting prosecutor of the KS Prosecutor's Office, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS Police Administration have arrested Nijaz Salamović, director of the public utility company “Rad”, and Reuf Sulejmanović, former chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Six more individuals are under investigation in this case, including the former director and members of the Supervisory Board of this public utility company. They are suspected of illegally appointing Salamović first as executive director and then as director of the company over the past three years, despite him not meeting the requirements for these positions.

He was appointed despite warnings from the Office for Combating Corruption about irregularities in the appointment process. Thus, Salamović, who is suspected of falsifying his work history and management experience throughout the entire process, was enabled to gain an illegal benefit of approximately 120,000 convertible marks, which he obtained by performing duties he could not and should not have performed. After criminal processing at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS, the arrested individuals will be handed over to the KS Prosecutor's Office for further jurisdiction.

The arrest operation was preceded by an investigation by the KS Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS Police Administration and the KS Office for Combating Corruption.

PREVIOUSLY FROM THE KS PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE

The KS Prosecutor's Office issued a statement following today's operation in which eight individuals were detained in a case related to the appointments of the director of KJKP Rad.

They are suspected of illegally appointing Nijaz Salamović first as executive director and then as director of the company over the past three years, despite him not meeting the requirements for these positions.

"He was appointed despite warnings from the KS Office for Combating Corruption about irregularities in the appointment process. Thus, Salamović, who is suspected of falsifying his work history and management experience throughout the entire process, was enabled to gain an illegal benefit of approximately 120,000 KM, which he obtained by performing duties he could not and should not have performed," the KS Prosecutor's Office announced.

Incidentally, the detentions were preceded by an investigation by the KS Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS Police Administration and the KS Office for Combating Corruption.

In this operation, former director Vera Arnautović, former and current members of the Supervisory Board, as well as Adelina Džanković, who was the president of the Assembly of KJKP Rad during that period, were also detained. Incidentally, Džanković is the secretary of the Centar Municipality.
