Cantonal Prosecutor's Office on Vedad Deljković's Statements about Prosecutor Marko Močević: We are checking whether there are elements of a criminal offense

(Patria) - When DF councilor Vedad Deljković at the Stari Grad Municipal Council and the Sarajevo City Council at the beginning of April this year publicly called out a cantonal prosecutor at a press conference, that statement did not go unnoticed in the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office.

At that time, although he was addressing the public regarding the attack on his home and the home of Stari Grad Mayor Irfan Čengić, Deljković also felt the need to speak about the actions taken by prosecutor Marko Močević in relation to Deljković and abuses at the workplace in the public company Olympic Pool Sarajevo.

"I will take this opportunity to call on prosecutor Marko, he knows who he is, to stop investigating who goes to work and when they go to work, but to focus on this case here," said Deljković.

Namely, in February this year, prosecutor Močević sent a request to the public institution Olympic Pool Sarajevo to provide information regarding the employment status of Vedad Deljković, i.e., records of attendance at work. The letter from prosecutor Močević was published by the portal Faktor on April 1, 2024.

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office opened a case following these statements by Vedad Deljković, and in response to Patria's inquiry, they stated:

"In the case, actions are being taken to determine whether there are elements of a criminal offense in the actions described in the report," they said.

Deljković won another term as a municipal councilor from the DF list in the local elections, and he will likely also become a city councilor again.
