Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton: No investigation against Sebija Izetbegović, index with grades from Zagreb is authentic

(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton has issued an order not to conduct an investigation in the case formed based on information from the University of Sarajevo, which was submitted by the Office for Combating Corruption and Quality Management of KS and an anonymous report, related to the authenticity of Sebija Izetbegović's postgraduate study documents from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Zagreb, because it is evident from the report and accompanying files that the reported act is not a criminal offense.

Namely, the prosecution team, by undertaking several evidentiary actions, among other things, temporarily seized the original copy of Sebija Izetbegović's index from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb, then, through international legal assistance, sent several requests to the competent authority of the Republic of Croatia, and together with a team of forensic graphology experts and in the presence of a judge for investigation at the County Court in Zagreb, seized all relevant documentation from the same faculty. After a team forensic graphology examination was performed, it was determined that the index form of Sebija Izetbegović is authentic and that all signatures in the index are authentic, i.e., signed by professors from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb.

Therefore, all allegations in the report have been verified, and since the information from the University of Sarajevo indicated the existence of the criminal offense of document forgery, the Prosecutor's Office of KS concluded that there are no elements of the criminal offense of document forgery, fraud, or any other criminal offense prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH in the mentioned case.
