KS Prosecutor's Office Investigating Sources of Istraga, SB, and Hayat Over Story About Delić's Attempt to Distribute 728 Thousand KM!

(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton has ordered members of the MUP of KS to "collect general information" about journalists who published documents from the FBiH Ministry of Labor and Social Policy that related to Minister Adnan Delić's attempt to illegally distribute 728 thousand marks intended for associations in the Federation.

The case was formed based on a report by Minister Adnan Delić, who requested that judicial and police institutions investigate who provided the documents that compromise him to journalists. Acting on Delić's report, the KS Prosecutor's Office issued several orders to the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, whose officials have formally, for now only from Hayat, requested "general information about the journalists who wrote the aforementioned text, in order to question them as witnesses". A similar request, as we learn, will be sent to Slobodna Bosna and the portal Istraga.ba, which initially published the "disputed documents" and the story about Delić's illegal attempt to distribute 728 thousand KM.

“Police officers of the Department for Economic Crime and Corruption Fighting, Sector of Criminal Police, Directorate of Police, MUP of Sarajevo Canton, are acting on the Request of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, number T09 0 KTAPO 0189490 23 dated 05.02.2024, regarding the report filed by the Minister of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Delić Adnan, due to the text published on 24.10.2023 on the web portals Istraga.ba, Slobodna-Bosna.ba and Hayat.ba, titled 'Affair' NiP associations' and at the federal level, Minister of Finance Toni Kraljević warned the FBiH Government that Minister Adnan Delić proposed an illegal and non-transparent distribution of 728 thousand KM!, in which the second page of the act of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy number: 07-11/13-1963/23 dated 19.09.2023 was published, as well as the complete opinion of the Federal Ministry of Finance number: 05-02-4-5943/23 dated 17.08.2023 and number:05-02-4-5943-1/23 dated 05.09.2023 with the received stamp of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton's request, among other things, ordered that information be obtained from the web portal Hayat.ba whether they had access to the disputed acts, and if so, how the disputed acts (or photos thereof) were obtained, namely the act of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy number:07-11/13-1963/23 dated 19.9.2023, the act of the Federal Ministry of Finance number:05-02-4-5943/23 dated 17.8.2023 and number: 05-02-4-5943-1/23 dated 5.9.2023, as well as to obtain general information about the journalists who wrote the aforementioned text, in order to question them as witnesses", stated in the act of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton sent to Hayat.

The same document, by order of the KS Prosecutor's Office, should be sent to the portals Istraga.ba and Slobodna Bosna, whose journalists and editors the acting cantonal prosecutor intends to question as witnesses. This is, of course, contrary to the Law on Criminal Procedure of FBiH.

“Persons who cannot be questioned as witnesses” is the title of Article 96 of the Law on Criminal Procedure of FBiH, according to which the KS Prosecutor's Office should act.

This article states that “cannot be questioned as a witness”: “a person who would violate the duty of professional secrecy by their testimony (religious official, i.e., confessor, journalist for the purpose of protecting sources of information, lawyer, notary, doctor, midwife, etc.), unless released from that duty by a special regulation or by the statement of the person in whose interest the secrecy is maintained.

Let us remind you that in October last year, Istraga.ba published documents according to which the federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy and a member of Narod i Pravda, Adnan Delić, intended to illegally distribute 728 thousand marks intended for citizens' associations in the Federation of BiH.

The federal Minister of Finance, Toni Kraljević, stated in his letter to the FBiH Government that Delić had violated procedures and federal regulations. Istraga.ba is in possession of the correspondence between ministers Delić and Kraljević, from which it was clear that the member of Narod i Pravda in the FBiH Government intended to illegally distribute the money.
