Prosecutor's Office of BiH: FBI, DEA, and Europol participate in major operation, high-ranking FUP officials arrested

(Patria) - Arrest and search activities are being carried out at dozens of locations in the Sarajevo, Zenica, and Mostar areas, targeting several suspected individuals and legal entities, and among the arrested are high-ranking officials of police agencies and law enforcement institutions. Evidence from encrypted applications has been collected within the scope of the case, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH announced.

The operation, codenamed "Black tie 2", is being conducted in the fight against international drug cartels.

"The activities are aimed at prosecuting individuals suspected of organized crime, illicit trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs, money laundering, and other related criminal offenses.

International support was provided by the FBI, DEA, and Europol in the activities being carried out," it was announced.

In addition to the acting prosecutor and expert staff of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), and the BiH Intelligence-Security Agency (OSA) are participating in the realization of the activities, with support on the ground provided by the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

As reported by Istraga.ba, the acting director of the Federal Police Administration, Vahidin Munjić, is being processed by members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton in connection with the operation targeting members of the Tito and Dino drug cartel. Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton have already arrested, by order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the commander of the Special Police Unit of the FUP, Mustafa Selmanović, businessman Gordan Memija, and three members of the FUP, Emir Druškić, Senad Kadić, and Adin Ćatić. In addition to them, former FUP members Dražen Čobović and Ibro Miladin have been arrested. Ermin Alamerović, known as Kiki, has also been arrested, as we learn.

All arrested individuals are linked to the Tito and Dino cartel, specifically to the procurement of uniforms for the FUP special unit.
