Prosecutor's Office of BiH assisted US institutions in processing Nada Tomanić

(Patria) - After the US FBI arrested Nada Tomanić, a former member of the "Zulfikar" unit, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH also issued a statement.

They stated that over the past two years, on several occasions, they provided assistance through international legal aid to colleagues from the US, regarding the necessary information for identifying and processing a BiH citizen, for criminal offenses related to immigration fraud.

"The aforementioned suspect is suspected of concealing from US immigration authorities the fact that she was a member of the SOPN ŠVK (Special Purpose Unit under the Supreme Command Staff) Zulfikar, of the Army of the Republic of BiH, and participated in inhumane treatment of victims of Serbian nationality on Igman in 1993.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH thanks the partner US institutions for their help in the fight against impunity for inhumane treatment during the war in BiH and will remain in further contact and provide assistance to colleagues in the US regarding the processing of the aforementioned suspect," stated the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
