Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina launched a criminal investigation because BiH representatives voted for the suspension of Russia in the Council of Europe

(Patria) - Last year, on February 25, 2022, Russia was suspended from the Council of Europe due to the attack on Ukraine, and this decision was also supported by Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The then head of the BiH Mission to the Council of Europe, Ivan Orlić, voted like the majority, and Russia was suspended.

Let us recall, in accordance with the Statute of the Council of Europe, the Committee of Ministers decided to suspend Russia's right to representation in the Committee of Ministers and in the Parliamentary Assembly, due to the armed attack on Ukraine.

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by Milanko Kajganić, made a scandalous decision. As reported by the Investigation, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH launched a criminal investigation (against those responsible in the Presidency of BiH) because representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina voted on February 25, 2022 for the suspension of Russia in the Council of Europe!

The prosecutor in charge of this case is Feđa Fejzagić, and in November of this year he requested information from the Presidency of BiH on whether the sessions of the Presidency of BiH decided on the position of BiH, as the body responsible for conducting the foreign policy of BiH.



Incidentally, the Council of Europe was formed after World War II to protect human rights and the rule of law across the European continent and is separate from the EU.

Russia has been a member of the 47-member human rights body since 1996. It was expelled from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe due to the annexation of Crimea in 2014, but was reinstated with full rights in 2019.
