Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed an indictment against three persons for war crimes in the Vlasenica area

(Patria) - The prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed an indictment against Živojin Majstorović (1948), Radenko Dubočanin (1971) and Radosav Savić (1964), all born in Vlasenica and citizens of BiH.

The accused are charged with acting contrary to the provisions of the Geneva Conventions on the protection of civilian persons during war, during the time of war and a widespread and systematic attack on the civilian population of Bosniak ethnicity in the area of Vlasenica and its surroundings.

The indictment states that the accused, at the beginning of June 1992, armed with automatic weapons, participated in an attack on the village of Đurići and surrounding places, inhabited by the Bosniak population.

As a result of this attack, 25 civilians were killed, including men, women, one minor and elderly persons, after which the population, under threat of weapons, was forced towards collection points, where civilians were robbed and men were separated from women and children.

After that, a group of several civilians were taken into detention at the "Sušica" camp and the Police Station building, while seven persons were taken in an unknown direction, since when all trace of them has been lost, and their bodies have not been found to this day.

The accused are charged with committing the criminal offense of crimes against humanity under Article 172 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The prosecution will prove the allegations of the indictment by calling 47 witnesses, three expert witnesses, and submitting more than 80 pieces of evidence.

The indictment has been forwarded for confirmation to the Court of BiH.
