Prosecutor's Office of BiH files indictment against Slobodan Savić for war crimes in Banja Luka

(Patria) - The Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed an indictment against Slobodan Savić, known as "Zenica", born in 1970 in Zenica, for war crimes against the civilian population and prisoners of war, committed in the Military Investigation Prison Banja Luka, known as Mali logor, in the period from April 1994 to December 1995.

The accused served as a guard in the said facility, and the committed crimes relate to beatings, abuse, and other inhumane acts committed against multiple victims, civilians, and prisoners of war of Bosniak and Croat nationality.

The Prosecutor's Office will prove the allegations of the indictment by the testimony of a significant number of witnesses, including victims who were detained in this facility, as well as by submitting several hundred pieces of evidence.

The accused is charged with the criminal offenses of war crimes against the civilian population and war crimes against prisoners of war.

The indictment has been sent to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
