Prosecutor's Office of BiH files indictment against Šerif Patković for war crimes

(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has filed an indictment against Šerif Patković, born in 1967 in Zenica, a citizen of BiH.

The accused is charged that during the war and armed conflict in BiH, in his capacity as commander of the 2nd Battalion of the 7th Muslim Brigade of the Army of RBiH, he acted contrary to the provisions of the Geneva Conventions on the Protection of Prisoners of War.

He is accused of personally and directly killing a wounded commander of the HVO in 1993, in the village of Dusina, by firing his own weapon, who was wounded and incapacitated for combat after the end of military operations.

The accused is charged with violating the rules of international humanitarian law by depriving a prisoner of war of his life, thereby committing the criminal offense – War Crime against Prisoners of War under Article 144 of the Criminal Code of the SFRY.
