Prosecutor's Office of BiH rejects opposition's report against Dodik over election fraud

(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has decided not to launch an investigation against Milorad Dodik and others regarding the criminal complaint filed by SDS, PDP, List for Justice and Order, and People's Front, stating that election fraud was committed in the 2022 General Elections.

The Prosecutor's Office explained that there are no grounds for suspicion that the reported individuals committed criminal offenses they are accused of.

The report concerned organized crime in connection with the criminal offenses of election fraud, violation of voting, violation of the secrecy of voting, and destruction of electoral documents.

The opposition claimed that the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska was also violated, specifically the violation of voters' freedom of choice, abuse of the right to vote, violation of the secrecy of voting, election fraud, and destruction of electoral documents.

The Prosecutor's Office informed the leader of PDP, Branislav Borenović, about the non-initiation of the investigation, who announced this decision on social network X, calling it shameful.

"This is another indication that there is a clear link between the judiciary and the ruling SNSD political structure, that inaction, not taking offense, and impunity for electoral, as well as all other corruption, has unfortunately become a model of behavior and life in this country.

It sends a catastrophic message, ahead of further elections, that electoral theft is permitted," Borenović stated.
