Prosecutor's Office of BiH opens case against former prosecutor Dubravko Čampara

(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has opened a case against former state prosecutor Dubravko Čampara, it was confirmed to Detektor from this institution. The Prosecutor's Office stated that they cannot provide more information.

At the beginning of April, the State Prosecutor's Office filed a report with the Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office against Čampara, while he was still in the position of state prosecutor.

A prosecutor was then assigned to verify whether his actions contained elements of criminal offenses.

A few days later, Čampara resigned to the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC). He did not wish to speak about the reasons for his resignation.

The Prosecutor's Office had previously unofficially confirmed to Detektor that Čampara was "removed" from the case related to the attack on the constitutional and legal order, in which the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, entity Prime Minister Radovan Višković, and the Speaker of the National Assembly of RS Nenad Stevandić are suspected.

Detektor's source from the Prosecutor's Office stated that an investigation has been launched to determine whether Čampara obstructed the case against Dodik and others.

The Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office had previously refused to confirm or deny whether proceedings were underway against Čampara due to "limitations prescribed by special regulations concerning certain categories of information and data".
