Prosecutor decided: No elements of criminal responsibility for attempted demolition of the cross

Last night around 10:50 PM, the Public Security Center East Sarajevo received a report that unknown persons were attempting to demolish the cross placed at Zlatište, writes Patria.

Danka Tešić, spokesperson for the Public Security Center East Sarajevo, said that a patrol found five persons (one minor) and two vehicles at the scene, attempting to demolish the cross with ropes.

- All persons are residents of Sarajevo Canton. The individuals were brought in for questioning, and the prosecutor was called, who determined that there were no elements of criminal responsibility. The individuals are now in the morning hours undergoing, I cannot say criminal processing, but an informative interview - said Tešić.

Let us remind you, on the night between Saturday and Sunday, a cross was erected at Zlatište above Sarajevo, a memorial monument "in memory of more than 6,500 murdered Sarajevo Serbs", as stated by the president of the Association of Prisoners of the Republika Srpska, Branislav Dukić. The erection of the cross at Zlatište caused reactions from Sarajevo citizens, as well as political representatives from the Federation of BiH, and also from RS. They believe that the erection of the cross above Sarajevo is a pre-election political game that should not be fallen for.
