Prosecutor Čampara on the list for the Constitutional Court of FBiH judge

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH today adopted the list of candidates for the positions of judges in the Constitutional Court of the Federation of BiH. Among others, the list of judges includes the name of Dubravko Čampara, a prosecutor at the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

Čampara is among the three best-rated candidates. Monika Mijić, a member of the HJPC, is also on the list. The list of candidates was adopted by the HJPC Commission, which sends it to the Constitutional Court of FBiH, and they return it to the HJPC with their opinion. Also on the list of candidates is Ajša Softić, who serves as the secretary of the FBiH Ministry of Justice.

The list is sent for appointment to the President of the FBiH.

Čampara previously applied for the position of Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office. He was disciplined in 2016 for violating his prosecutorial duties, specifically for making inappropriate comments in a conversation with a witness in the Fahrudin Radončić case.

"According to the assessment of the Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office, such behavior by a prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina damaged the reputation of the prosecutorial function and called into question public trust in the impartiality and credibility of the prosecutor's office, which constitutes a disciplinary offense under Article 57, point 23," the DPO announced at the time.

His salary was reduced by 30% for a period of three months.
