Two police officers were killed and four were injured in a car bomb explosion in the province of Diyarbakir in southeastern Turkey, the government announced, reports the Patria News Agency.
The car bomb exploded at the moment when gendarmerie teams arrived, who were called because one car had caught fire.
So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack, which occurred shortly after Turkey carried out several airstrikes yesterday on the strongholds of the rebel group Kurdistan Workers' Party in northern Iraq, Turkish media write.
