Turkey will continue cooperation with the new government in BiH

The general elections held yesterday (October 12) in Bosnia and Herzegovina in a democratic atmosphere play a decisive role in the country's future and are significant because citizens have elected their representatives for the next four years. We wish for the election results, which, generally speaking, proceeded peacefully and without incident, to be determined as soon as possible and to be satisfactory for everyone, it was announced from the Turkish Embassy in BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria. 

It is important that new governments at all levels are elected as soon as possible after the elections and that state bodies are formed. In the period ahead, the most important factors for a prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina are finding concrete solutions and making progress on issues of vital importance for the country's future, preserving the unity and integrity of the country, urgently repairing the damage caused by the May floods, and increasing the functionality of the state.

Our greatest wish is that after the elections, the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina develops, a favorable environment for investments is provided, the rule of law is preserved, and necessary reforms are implemented in all areas. Within this framework, it is expected that, especially considering the importance for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, integration with Euro-Atlantic institutions will be ensured, and that necessary steps will be taken urgently towards this goal, thereby fulfilling the people's expectations to the greatest extent.

Turkey, within the framework of its continuous support for Bosnia and Herzegovina, will continue its activities in close contact and cooperation with the new government that will be formed after the elections, the statement concludes.
