Karate 1 Premier League Tournament: Silver for Haris Sujković

The Karate Club "Champion" team competed last weekend at the final tournament of the world Karate1 Premier League in Europe, thus checking their current form ahead of the 22nd National Championship for seniors. As on the previous occasion in Coburg, Haris Sujković won silver in the over 84 kg category, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Haris Sujković won silver by defeating opponents from Estonia, Italy, and two from France in the final stages of the tournament, losing the final match to Croatian representative Ivan Zoričić.

Haris first defeated Paabo Tanel, and then awaited the winner of the match between Italian Marino Simone and Belgian Vanwaesberghe Bryan, which Simone won 5:1.

In the match against the Italian, Sujković dictated the pace and waited for an opponent's mistake. After an extremely exhausting match, Haris emerged victorious with a score of 1:0.

To qualify for the semi-finals, he had to defeat Frenchman Reis Filipe, and in that match, Haris won 1:0, successfully advancing to the semi-finals.

To make matters more challenging, another Frenchman awaited him in the semi-finals, this time French national team member Ilyes Klouz. However, Haris demonstrated his quality and exceptional form, winning without difficulty before the final buzzer with a score of 8:0 and advancing to the final.

The other competitors from Karate Club "Champion" had excellent performances, but this time, luck and results were not on their side.
