Turner: Dodik turns to Putin to further destabilise the region

(Patria) - One of the leading members of the US Congress, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Republican Congressman Mike Turner warned that the actions of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, are leading to the destabilisation of the region and jeopardising the hard-won peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In a post on platform X, Turner stated that "Dodik is working to dismantle the Dayton Peace Accords and undermine 30 years of fragile peace in the Balkans."

"Now he is turning to Vladimir Putin to further destabilise the region, defying the judicial process and threatening the secession of Republika Srpska from Bosnia and Herzegovina. We cannot allow them to succeed," Turner said.

He added that as head of the US delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, he believes that "it is the obligation of the United States and its allies to promote peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina."
