Turković with Aliyev: Discussion on threat to peace and stability of our country and region

(Patria) - Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković met today, December 23, 2021, in Baku with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
 
The meeting discussed the importance of enhancing cooperation between our two countries, as well as the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Azerbaijan, and global relations. 
  
Minister Turković informed President Aliyev about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the blockade of state institutions, and the threat to peace and stability of our country and region, following the initiation of unilateral processes by part of the political representatives of the BiH entity RS.
 
The meeting also discussed the current situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, into which Azerbaijan, after liberation, is investing significant resources with the aim of implementing major infrastructure projects. President Aliyev informed Minister Turković that his country has launched a program of reconstruction and economic strengthening in this part of Azerbaijan.  Aliyev stated that BiH's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan is an important sign of partnership, cooperation, and friendship. 
  
On the other hand, during the meeting, Azerbaijan's firm support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the continued progress of our country, was reiterated. 
President Aliyev thanked our country for its expressed commitment to participate in the reintegration of Nagorno-Karabakh, which should result in concrete activities.
