Turković on the Council of Ministers session: Continuation of the blockade of work, now carried out in a different way

(Patria) - Tomorrow's session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina is, by all accounts, a continuation of the blockade of work, now carried out in a different way, but with the same effect for citizens and the state. 

Namely, the agenda of the session includes only those items against which ministers from the Serb people already voted at the previous session, and this will now be confirmed in the second round of voting. 

"If the session is held in this manner, and they, as announced, vote against again, these decisions will be definitively rejected. Among them are some extremely important decisions on international support projects, amendments to certain regulations, information, etc. The agenda does not include any of the more than 400 agenda items that have arrived in the meantime, nor are there items proposed by ministers from the Serb people. 

So, this is a gross abuse of procedural rules, which effectively feigns and mocks the work of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, obviously with some political goals. If this practice continues, it will cause incalculable damage to Bosnia and Herzegovina, because hundreds of decisions, many of which are of vital importance, will be rejected or blocked. It is high time to act responsibly and start fulfilling the obligations ahead of us.  We have lost too much time, and it has been shown that the blockade brings nothing good to anyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina, nor does it have any positive effect," emphasized Bisera Turković, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
