KS Tourist Board: Tourists Breaking Records, Most Visits Expected During SFF

(Patria) - The latest statistical data from the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board show a continued trend of growth
in tourist arrivals and overnight stays in Sarajevo Canton.

In July 2024, the Sarajevo Canton recorded nearly 106,000 guests and achieved almost 234,000 overnight stays, which is a 23% increase in arrivals and a 13% increase in overnight stays compared to July 2023.

In July this year, the highest number of foreign tourist arrivals were from: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Croatia, Serbia, China, Germany, USA, Slovenia, UAE, and Kuwait.

The Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board statistics record an increased number of arrivals and overnight stays during the first seven months of 2024, with a 29% increase in guests and a 26% increase in overnight stays compared to the same period in 2023.

"We expect to break all previous records for tourist arrivals and overnight stays in Sarajevo Canton this year. Throughout this year, and especially during the summer period, Sarajevo is extremely visited and represents a very interesting tourist destination, and we believe that we will very soon have new statistical records for visits and overnight stays, especially during the Sarajevo Film Festival days," said Haris Fazlagić, President of the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board.
