Tourists want to try traditional dishes and see the Tunnel of Hope

One of the first destinations tourists visit in Sarajevo are info centers where they can find all information about the city. According to the records of the Info-press center of the Old Town Municipality, located in the center of Baščaršija, the highest number of visitors was recorded during the month of August, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- Tourists come from the region, but also from Turkey, Italy, Spain, Canada, USA, and even Russia. Also, in July, many of our citizens living in the diaspora visited us - said Fatima Daglar from the Info-press center.

Tourists are most often interested in where they can try traditional Bosnian food and which significant locations they should visit. The 20th Sarajevo Film Festival, held from August 15 to 23, also contributed to the high number of visitors to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In August alone, the Info center was visited by 700 tourists, and according to Tarik Aščič, they show particular interest in visiting the Tunnel of Hope in Butmir.

- They often ask us if there are organized tours to visit the tunnel and how to get to Butmir, and many of them decide to visit independently. They are also interested in a ride on the panoramic Centrotrans bus - says Aščič.
