Tourists most often ask how to get to the mountains and the Tunnel of Salvation

According to records kept by employees of the Info-Press Centre of the Stari Grad Municipality, in the period from January to December 2015, the centre was visited by about 4,500 tourists. The highest number of visits was recorded during August 2015, when over 1,000 tourists visited the facility and requested the necessary information, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Tourists showed interest in the landmarks of our city, cultural and historical monuments and the city centre, as well as the surrounding mountains and how to get to them. Among the most common questions are those about the gastronomic offer and where traditional dishes are served, and at which places they can buy authentic souvenirs, i.e. something characteristic of Sarajevo.

Also, a large number of tourists ask how they can visit the war tunnel in Butmir. The three European countries from which the most tourists visited the Info-Press Centre are France, Italy and Spain, while from the region the most tourists came from Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.

Last month, the Info-Press Centre was visited by more than 200 tourists from all over the world, and half of them visited the centre during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Given the holiday period, tourists were most interested in where the best entertainment in the city is. 
For comparison, in 2014 the Info-Press Centre was visited by about 3,000 tourists, and the highest number of visits was recorded in July, when about 500 tourists visited the facility and requested the necessary information. 

The Info-Press Centre of the Stari Grad Municipality of Sarajevo is located at Halači 1 street and began operations in February 2014.
In addition to numerous contacts with tourists, the employees of the Info-Press Centre provide necessary information to the local population as well, answering their inquiries or directing them to the competent services and familiarising them with procedures.
