Turks delivered blankets, water, and winter clothing for flood victims

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Aid trucks sent by the Turkish Red Crescent for areas hit by floods in BiH last week have arrived in Sarajevo.

The head of the international delegation and operational manager of the Turkish Red Crescent, Anil Kocabal, told AA that they have provided food, hygiene products, and drinking water to the areas affected by the floods in BiH…

- We are placing humanitarian aid from Turkey, consisting of three trucks, into our warehouses in Bosnia and Herzegovina today - Kocabal said.

Emphasizing that the aid shipment also included 100,000 pieces of winter clothing and 1,500 blankets, Kocabal stated that distribution will begin as soon as possible.

He noted that they will continue their activities in this area.

- We have carried out the necessary research and activities on the ground. As the Turkish Red Crescent, we stand with Bosnia and Herzegovina - Kocabal said.

Also recalling that the floods negatively affected rural areas, Kocabal added that an agricultural and livestock development program will be implemented in the coming days.
