One simple hashtag #JeSuisCharlie (I am Charlie) was enough for likes and shares from social networks to spill onto the streets from Istanbul to Rio and encourage numerous journalists, cartoonists, editors, mothers, fathers, neighbours from opposite ends of the world to show support for the families of the victims, the citizens of Paris and France, and all residents of the country, writes the Patria News Agency.
Even the lights of the Eiffel Tower were extinguished, symbolically paying tribute to those killed.
