Tuđman's monument delivered by helicopter: Production cost 600,000 kuna

On Saturday, the monument to Franjo Tuđman arrived at the Knin fortress, which will be unveiled on August 5, on the occasion of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Operation Storm in Knin. The Mayor of Knin, Josipa Rimac, states that this morning the 1.8-ton pedestal was erected, and then the 500-kilogram monument by author Mirko Vuco, produced by the Ujević foundry, was placed.

The monument was transported with the help of the Croatian Air Force, according to Rimac, because it was impossible to transport it to the fortress in any other way.

The monument was paid for from the Knin city budget, and the total investment cost around 600,000 kuna, Croatian media report.

Josipa Rimac states that the delivery of the monument of the first Croatian president to the Knin fortress this morning was a historic moment for the people of Knin, which evoked special feelings.
