Arizona Market: 2,200 Chocolate Bars Seized

Officials of the Indirect Taxation Administration at the Arizona market temporarily seized 2,200 chocolate bars that were being sold without any documentation of origin, reports BH news agency Patria.

- Authorized officials of the UIO in the Tuzla regional center conducted a detailed inspection of a "Mercedes-Benz" vehicle at the Arizona market, driven by a person with the initials D. K. During the inspection of the vehicle's interior and trunk, a large quantity of foreign-origin chocolates was found: "MILKA" 100g - 1,008 pcs, "MILKA" 300g - 240 pcs, "KINDER BUENO" - 300 pcs, "SNICKERS" - 400 pcs, "MARS" - 200 pcs, "KINDER" 100g - 100 pcs, "KINDER" 50g - 200 pcs, "Schogetten" - 150 pcs.

The aforementioned goods were put into circulation without any import documentation, meaning there is no evidence that they were reported to the competent customs authorities for customs clearance, or for which it can be reasonably claimed that they were brought across the customs line without a completed customs procedure.

In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Customs Misdemeanors of BiH, a request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings will be filed against the perpetrator of the described irregularities before the competent court.
