Trolleybuses to Jezero and Trg Austrije operational from February 11, possible further suspensions

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Trolleybus traffic from Dobrinja to Trg Austrije and from Dobrinja to Jezero will be operational from February 11, confirmed Semira Kadić, spokesperson for GRAS, to the Patria agency.

- Everything depends on the contractor, but we are preparing for it to be from February 11. For now, we have no announcement of a change - said Kadić.

Trolleybus traffic has been suspended since January 20 due to construction work on the Southern Longitudinal road. During this period, GRAS did not provide alternative transport, and citizens only had tram service and the commercial Dobrinja-Vijećnica line available to reach the city center. The suspension of trolleybus traffic has caused noticeable congestion, so a trip from Dobrinja to the city center now takes up to an hour.

On the website of the Ministry of Transport of the Sarajevo Canton, it is stated that changes in trolleybus traffic operations are possible until June 30, 2018.

GRAS confirmed that everything will depend on the pace of the works, and trolleybus traffic will be suspended as needed.
