Trojka Demands Urgent Session: Agenda Includes Court of BiH, Public Procurement, and Criminal Code

(Patria) - An urgent session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will consider the Law on the Court of BiH and amendments to key laws, will be held in the middle of next week, confirmed for Faktor representative Saša Magazinović (SDP BiH).

A group of representatives from several parliamentary clubs submitted an official request to convene an urgent session of the House of Representatives, citing Article 68 of the Rules of Procedure.

Magazinović says the proposed agenda includes three items that, according to the proposers, are of key importance for the judicial and anti-corruption system of BiH.

The most significant item on the agenda is the Draft Law on the Court of BiH, whose official proposer is representative Predrag Kojović (Our Party).

This law enjoys the support of the Trojka from the Federation of BiH (SDP, NiP, Our Party), as well as opposition parties from the RS (SDS, PDP, List for Justice and Order).

In addition to the Law on the Court of BiH, two other items on the agenda are proposed: the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Public Procurement and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH.

Both laws are signed by the same proposers: Saša Magazinović (SDP), Mira Pekić (SDS - PDP - For Justice and Order), Nihad Omerović (NiP), Sabina Ćudić (NS-BHI KF) and Jasmin Emrić (Mixed Club).

The request to convene the session was signed by: Denis Zvizdić, Chairman of the House of Representatives, and the leaders of the clubs supporting the proposal: Magazinović, Pekić, Omerović, Ćudić and Emrić.

The proposers emphasize that these are laws that are the result of a compromise between different political options and that, if adopted, could significantly improve the judiciary and mechanisms for fighting corruption at the state level.
