Trifunović: If Bundestag politicians discussed in a pub, they wouldn't last a day in office

Dodik, Izetbegović and Čović see politics happening only at their table, and everyone else is irrelevant, warned Aleksandar Trifunović, editor of the Buka portal, for N1.

The agreement reached by Izetbegović and Dodik in a restaurant near Sarajevo regarding the Coordination Mechanism and Bosnia and Herzegovina's new borrowing of over a billion KM from the IMF has caused a storm in the BiH public.
The location of the meeting was primarily criticized. The leaders of the largest Bosniak party and the ruling party in Republika Srpska discussed key issues for BiH in a pub.

The president of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, stated that the agreement between Izetbegović and Čović does not align with the agreement between him and Izetbegović. Brussels has also been informed about everything. It is now certain that there is a strong crisis among the coalition partners in the FBiH.

- Let them open the sector for pub business. If they reached an agreement in the Bundestag or the Italian Parliament in such a manner, they wouldn't last a single day in their positions – says Trifunović.

Trifunović stated that the IMF is one of the key political players in BiH, helping certain political structures survive, and that this is a hypocritical approach to the entire situation. He added that the citizens of BiH must start being bothered by the unfolding of such politics.

- No one tests the statement that 100,000 more people will be employed. We are in a situation where it is possible to say anything without anyone testing it and saying whether it is possible or not – says Trifunović. He added that people in BiH say, "nothing will change." But, Trifunović reminds, there are so many examples in society where people have managed to do and change something.

- The majority does not want to be part of change and thinks it is impossible to change things. We have the possibility for this situation to last for years. The fact that 80,000 people left the country last year speaks volumes about how BiH citizens see their future in this country – Trifunović told N1, reports Patria.
