Trifunović: Čović behaves as if he is not in power, but as a social revolutionary

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Čović, told reporters today that they have "shamed themselves before the international community" after it became evident that the SDA and HDZ BiH coalition is no longer functioning. Bosnia and Herzegovina has stalled on its European path, writes Patria.

Čović submitted the application for BiH's membership in the EU in mid-February, and promised that Brussels would assess the application as credible very quickly, and open negotiations with BiH on accession to the EU.

Political relations have become complicated in the last few weeks. There is no clear and stable majority in power in the FBiH. Dragan Čović did not attend the scheduled meeting with Bakir Izetbegović, which was supposed to be held in Konjic on Tuesday.

- Our time has run out, politics here in general. Half of our mandate has passed, what will we say we have done? We can boast about micro and macro indicators that we have initiated something, but we see how people live around us - said Dragan Čović.

Political analyst Aleksandar Trifunović says that Čović behaved as if he was not in power.

- They are messing with us, beyond all limits, I don't know how else to explain that someone who has been in power and part of the government for years, and the cause of people living poorly and leaving, states that people live poorly, as if he is not part of that exploitative process and the ruling elite, but some socially conscious activist and revolutionary - Trifunović wrote.

- I thought Čović's statement, his observation, that he was ashamed because the Pope drives a Ford Focus and he drives an Audi, could hardly be removed from the top list of supreme impudence. However, he just said this... "Half of our mandate has passed, what will we say, what have we done? We can talk about macro and micro results, but we all see how our people live," Trifunović criticized, reports Patria.
