The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina under my leadership will not experience any radical turns, because I believe that would be a step backward for ASABiH, said Miloš Trifković, the new president of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to the BH News Agency Patria.
This legal expert was elected to the position of the head of ASABiH today at the Academy's Electoral Assembly in Sarajevo. He succeeded Božidar Matić, who led ASABiH for eight years.
Trifković said that BiH is a very complex country. He is not sure to what extent BiH politicians use the knowledge, wisdom, and experience of ASABiH, which brings together the most eminent BiH experts from all scientific fields. However, he says that at times it can be very useful for the entire community. He says he has never been actively involved in politics before.
- We live in a very complex country. I am not entirely sure and I cannot tell you whether today's politicians use the intelligence and experience of ASABiH members to a sufficient extent, but our members work individually and we have results there - said Trifković.
He believes that it is high time for responsible people in the country to sit down and settle the bill, because if that does not happen soon, the bill will settle itself, and that never turns out well.
- You saw that with the example of the floods. We did not react when we should have, and then we experienced a catastrophe - said Professor Trifković.
