Three in one: Kozadra acting PM, and Minister of Finance and Education!

The Government of Sarajevo Canton has not been in a more difficult and complicated situation since the war. Without a parliamentary majority in the Assembly, without a prime minister and in a financial crisis, the KS Government is led by, effectively, one man who holds its three most important positions, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Namely, Muhamed Kozadra (SDA) was appointed acting Prime Minister after Suad Zeljković resigned from this position following protests, and Zeljković had previously taken over the duties of Minister of Education Damir Marjanović, who had also submitted an irrevocable resignation.

Thus, Kozadra now had to take over the position of Minister of Education in addition to the position of acting Prime Minister. Without any doubt about Kozadra's abilities, it is difficult for one person to successfully perform all three positions, and the question is whether he is properly paid for all of them. Especially since, as Minister of Finance, he has more than enough work.

We remind you that the KS Government determined the draft budget for 2014. Planned budget revenues are allocated to salaries and employee cost compensation in the amount of KM 244,098,800, for material and service expenses KM 48,925,700, for current transfers KM 247,162,800, and for capital transfers and expenditures KM 80,622,800, which is an increase of KM 26,952,300 compared to the amount in the Draft Budget.
