(Patria) - Three sessions of the House of Representatives of BiH PS have been scheduled for today, two urgent and one regular.
The first urgent session is to consider the Budget of BiH institutions and international obligations for 2025, proposed by the BiH Presidency. After the meeting in Banja Luka, Dragan Čović and Milorad Dodik stated that this proposal is unacceptable and that "corrections" to the Budget are necessary for it to be finally adopted.
MP Sabina Ćudić said on Tuesday that the best solution would be to adopt the Budget Proposal with the possibility of amendments. Adoption under a shortened procedure and the amendment phase will take additional time, and for the Budget to enter into force, it must be adopted in the same form by both houses of the BiH PS.
The second urgent session, which will be held after the session and the Budget, has only one agenda item: "Continuation of the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a focus on adopting the Reform Program for the implementation of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans," proposed by MPs: Jasmin Emrić, Šemsudin Mehmedović, Elvisa Hodžić, Aida Baručija, and Nihad Omerović.
Regardless of the fact that the Reform Agenda was adopted on September 30, the MPs who requested the session have numerous questions as to why the EU path of BiH has stagnated. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, who visited BiH on Tuesday, also called on the authorities to adopt two European laws (High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, Law on Courts) and to appoint a chief negotiator with the EU as soon as possible.
The Reform Agenda document is not known to all MPs, so the services of the Secretariat of the BiH PS have been hastily preparing the document in the Bosnian language.
MPs have requested that the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, all members of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Director of the Directorate for European Integration attend the session to answer the MPs' questions.
It has been requested that MPs also be provided with Information on the implementation of activities for harmonizing the Reform Plan, with the harmonized version of the Reform Plan in the Bosnian language and the accompanying Indicative List of Investment Projects.
After this session, the 32nd regular session is planned with 36 agenda items. Several legal solutions are on the agenda.
