
(Patria) - The Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton has issued a statement regarding the death that occurred yesterday in the Dobrinja settlement. Although initially believed to be a suicide, the investigation revealed it was a murder.
"On April 13, 2026, at around 2:00 PM, the Dobrinja Police Station received a call from citizens reporting that 'in Dobrinjske bolnice Street, on the asphalt surface, there was a lifeless male body, most likely due to a fall from a height.' Upon arriving at the scene, police officers confirmed the report, and the man's death was pronounced by a doctor from the Emergency Medical Service of Sarajevo Canton. It was determined that the deceased was A.M. (1990) from Sarajevo.
The duty prosecutor from the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton was notified and led the investigation, which was conducted by members of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton. Working to clarify all circumstances surrounding the death of the 36-year-old, police officers in the evening hours deprived three men from Sarajevo, N.P. (1999), A.Š. (2000), and D.Ć. (1993), of their liberty on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of Murder as accomplices.
The suspects are being processed at the official premises of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton," the police stated.
