Three planes of aid sent by Qatar to flood-affected areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina landed at Sarajevo International Airport this afternoon.
Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Zlatko Lagumdžija, thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, for the delivered aid that he had previously promised.
Namely, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar requested a list of necessary supplies and equipment from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which the MFA of BiH contacted the Operational Communication Centre of the Ministry of Security of BiH.
Following the response from the Operational Centre, the specifications were sent to the Qatari side, and three planes landed at Sarajevo Airport today with emergency aid intended for the affected areas. The planes delivered 45 tons of aid, which includes, among other things, medicines, food, and equipment for working on repairing the consequences of the catastrophic floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
