Trhulj at the 63rd Prayer Breakfast in Washington

Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Erdal Trhulj attended the 63rd annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Every year, the President of the United States and members of Congress, along with other state officials, the diplomatic community, and selected friends from over 130 countries, organize this ceremony to spread the spirit of friendship in prayer and gratitude. 

This gathering of elected officials aims to set aside differences, focusing on building quality personal relationships and better international connections. At this year's Prayer Breakfast, in addition to US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, there were 3,600 guests - American, international, and religious leaders from around the world, including the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama.

President Obama's speech paid special attention to supporting religious freedoms.

Among others, the guests were addressed by Senators Robert P. Casey Jr. from Pennsylvania, Roger F. Wicker from Mississippi, Congressmen Robert B. Aderholt from Alabama and Juan C. Vargas from California, US Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James, and Dr. Kent Brantly, an American doctor who recovered from Ebola after being infected during a peace mission in Africa.

The Annual National Prayer Breakfast was held as part of the overall program of gathering elected officials, which lasts from February 3 to 6, 2015, it was announced from the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry.
