Banja Luka is battling snowfall for the third day. The snow has caused problems for the Winter Service teams, as well as for citizens, reports the Patria news agency.
This morning the picture is somewhat different, but only on the main city roads. The main streets have been cleared, there is still snow on the road surface on side streets, and there are, as Banja Luka residents claim, streets that no one has yet entered.
Sidewalks are still covered. Citizens are walking on the road. Although the mayor of Banja Luka, Slobodan Gavranović, ordered yesterday that the cleaning of pedestrian paths and sidewalks should continue as a priority, there is no significant change in the city.
Workers of “Čistoća” are partially respecting the mayor's order this morning regarding the cleaning of approaches to pedestrian sidewalks and bus stops, at least in the center of Banja Luka. Around 7 a.m. this morning, they were cleaning the approaches to the sidewalks near Trg Krajine.
What the mayor of Banja Luka said about removing snow from the surfaces where events for marking the Day of Republika Srpska are planned is also being respected. Thus, last night, snow was removed in front of the Palace of the President of Republika Srpska, ATV reported.
