(Patria) - The third continuation of the constitutive session of the City Council of the City of Sarajevo is scheduled for today at 9 AM, at which the saga with the election of new city leaders should finally be concluded. Otherwise, the session began on May 27, but due to the lack of agreement within the Trojka, the leadership of the City Council, as well as the new mayor and two deputies, has not yet been elected.
However, according to information circulating within the City Administration, Narod i pravda and SDP BiH have reached an agreement.
Thus, NiP will get one deputy chairperson position for councilor Emir Bić, and SDP will appoint one. The chairperson of the City Council will be Alen Girt from Naša stranka.
SDP BiH will also get the position of director of the Public Enterprise "Sarajevo" after Bakir Hadžiomerović was elected director of RTV FBiH.
Also, according to the agreement, the director of KCUS will finally be appointed, and that should be Alen Pilav from SDP, given that Ismet Gavrankapetanović never received the approval of the federal Minister of Health.
The Mayor of Sarajevo was proposed by NIP, and that is Samir Avdić, while the deputies will be Mirela Džehverović (NS) and the current mayor Predrag Puharić (SDP).
Otherwise, Trojka has 16 councilors, and SDP has the most councilors with seven, Naša stranka has five, and NIP has four. However, the agreement even before the local elections was that NIP would nominate the mayor.
