Trebević Cable Car Earns 1.6 Million KM

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The City Council of the City of Sarajevo today adopted the report on the operations of the city public company JP Sarajevo d.o.o., which manages the City Hall and the newly built Trebević cable car, with operating profit amounting to 1,630,464 KM. 

The total revenue of this company in 2018 was 3,846,932 KM. By the end of last year, 411,000 tickets were sold for the Cable Car and more than 33,000 for the City Hall. 

Mayor Abdulah Skaka told Patria that these figures show that the project of building the cable car and revitalizing the City Hall as a national monument was launched based on a clear plan, precise analyses and assessments, and demonstrated how it is possible to build a sustainable and profitable project. 

„The profit we have achieved opens the door for the realization of new projects and strengthens the trust of citizens and especially councilors. It is important to point out that this result is certainly not our maximum and that the continued development and quality content both on Trebević and in the City Hall in the coming period will be an additional impetus. This is precisely our guiding principle and confirmation that we should continue to invest funds in the interest of the City of Sarajevo. I congratulate the Assembly, the Supervisory Board, the Management and the workers of JP Sarajevo, which is growing into the most successful utility company in the country“, said Skaka. 

The Trebević cable car was opened on April 6, 2018, on the Day of the City of Sarajevo, and since then it has been an indispensable part of the tourist offer, but it is equally interesting to numerous domestic visitors to Sarajevo.
