Special forces searched the house of a former commander of the Army of RBiH in Srebrenica, looking for weapons

The special unit of the RS MUP is searching the house of a councilor in the Srebrenica Municipal Assembly, looking for weapons and explosives, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Daut Tihić from Skelani near Srebrenica briefly confirmed to Patria that a group of special forces officers with long guns are currently in his house, searching the premises.

- They said they are looking for weapons and explosives - Tihić said. He added that the special forces officers are treating him and his family correctly, but they are still uncomfortable. His wife, who has a heart condition, is particularly distressed.

Tihić is a former member of the Army of RBiH and one of the few surviving commanders of the Army after the genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica in 1995.

He believes the search was ordered by local politicians from SDA and SNSD, because he disagrees with their political views, reports Patria.
