Support sought for Principles for Amendments to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - Last month, the Principles for Amendments to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented in Sarajevo, and an application was released to the public allowing citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to give their support to the proposed Principles. This important initiative was launched by four non-governmental organizations: the Council of the Congress of Bosniak Intellectuals, the Croatian National Council in BiH, the Serbian Civic Council in BiH, and the Forum of Parliamentarians of BiH 1990.

Since then, this very important petition has been signed by over 40,000 signatories, and it was also signed by the international Citizens' Initiative "CLUB 100 – PLUS", consisting of 133 citizens and friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 27 countries around the world, which supported this initiative and called on all citizens at home and in the diaspora, as well as all friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to add their signature for a better homeland.

The call from the Citizens' Initiative "CLUB 100 – PLUS" states:

Give your voice – a voice for a European, democratic state, founded on the rule of law, where every citizen and every constituent people in BiH will have equal rights and freedoms throughout the entire territory of our country.

Incidentally, so far, dozens of various non-governmental organizations from the homeland and diaspora, as well as many prominent individuals, have supported this initiative. It is clear to all of them that without changing the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, without a democratic state, the rule of law, and equal rights for all citizens and constituent peoples, our homeland can hardly emerge from its political and other dead ends.
