Urgent session of the BiH Parliament requested

(Patria) - MPs from SDP, NS, SBB and A-SDA will today submit a request for an urgent session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament due to the escalation of the migrant crisis and the failure to appoint a BiH delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

We remind you that the legal deadline for BiH to submit the names of its delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has expired, which means that our country will have no members in the Assembly for the entire year 2019.

According to PACE rules, the parliament has six months from the date of election to submit the names of the new delegation. Bosnia and Herzegovina, as one of the 47 member states of the Council of Europe, has the right to send a ten-member delegation to the Assembly, but these seats have remained empty since January 2019.

Denis Zvizdić, Chairman of the Council of Ministers and member of the Collegium of the House of Representatives, told reporters today that it is clear who is to blame for the fact that we do not have parliamentary committees.

SNSD has not submitted proposals for its members, and they indicated that the situation is such because we do not have a candidate for the Council of Ministers.
