Travnik marks the 'Days of Victory, Days of Pride 2025' event through a culture of remembrance, education and patriotism

(Patria) - The central part of the 'Days of Victory, Days of Pride 2025' event will be held on Tuesday, September 16, starting at 11:00 AM in the Memorial Park and on the plateau in front of the Turbe Mountain Lodge on Galica.

The event's organizing committee held a final meeting today at the Travnik Municipality building, where all technical and logistical details were coordinated. On that occasion, the President of the Organizing Committee and Mayor of Travnik Municipality Kenan Dautović emphasized the multifaceted significance of the event, highlighting the importance of its educational, memorial and patriotic character.

“This event, in addition to paying tribute to the fighters of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, also plays an important role in educating young people about the values of freedom, unity and heroism. We are pleased that numerous high-ranking officials have confirmed their attendance at the final event on Galica,” said Mayor Dautović.

The event began on August 3 with a program at Luta greda, while the final ceremony on Galica is focused on the culture of remembrance. According to the President of the Organizing Committee, these two events form a single whole, with the first being more focused on fighters and the atmosphere of wartime liberation operations, while the final activities will be dedicated to intergenerational connection between veterans and youth through education and joint commemoration.
As part of the final event, on the plateau in front of the Turbe Mountain Lodge, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a tactical-technical gathering of a security, rescue and educational-sports nature will be held.

The gathering brings together institutions and organizations from the fields of security, protection, defense and sports, with a special focus on the education of children and young people. Their skills and equipment will be presented by the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Central Bosnia Canton, the Travnik Civil Protection, the Mountain Rescue Service, the Travnik Health Center, the Professional Fire Brigade, the Red Cross, and numerous mountaineering, shooting, airsoft, paintball, auto and quad associations and clubs.
Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in numerous interactive workshops, demonstration exercises and educational activities intended for students, teaching staff and parents.

As the organizers pointed out, the goal of this event is to foster a culture of remembrance, affirm patriotic values, and strengthen awareness among young people of the importance of teamwork, security and social responsibility.

In case of adverse weather conditions, the main program will be moved to the PSKC Pirota in Travnik, while the laying of flowers and paying tribute to the heroes will remain planned on Galica.

The 'Days of Victory, Days of Pride 2025' event is organized by municipal and partner institutions, with the support of veterans' associations, educational institutions and security structures.
