Torture at Slovenian borders: Over 20 BiH citizens returned on November 8 due to lack of funds!

At Slovenian borders with other European countries, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina often experience various inconveniences during checks, writes the Patria news agency.

Thus, on November 8 alone, more than 20 passengers were returned from the Slovenian border, Patria learns. Namely, our editorial office was called by H.T. from Sarajevo (full name known to the editorial office), who was traveling to Denmark, but the Slovenians did not allow her to pass through Slovenia.

- It was a very unpleasant feeling. Namely, they asked us to show money. I had 300 euros with me plus cards, but when I said I was staying with relatives for 15 days, they took me off the bus and did not allow me to continue the journey. In the explanation, they stated that I should have 75 euros for each day - says this woman from Sarajevo.

She further states that the border police officers were very unfriendly and that the passengers felt uncomfortable.

- When I stayed at the border, I realized that four more passengers from the bus I was traveling on were „removed“, and all together, including other buses, there were over 20 of us. They sent us back to the Croatian border, where they were not surprised, because such things happen every day. One border police officer told me that this happens constantly, despite the fact that passengers have valid travel documents - adds our interlocutor.

Incidentally, she intends to travel again, and now she has also requested a guarantee letter from her relatives.

- We experienced such humiliation that I am disappointed in Slovenia as an EU country. It is not just that we could not continue the journey, but that they insulted and mocked us - adds our interlocutor, explaining that she took the name and surname of the border guard and is considering filing a complaint.
