District Heating: Connection of the FIA Building and the Office for Audit of Institutions in the FBiH to the District Heating System

KJKP „Toplane - Sarajevo“  as part of the implementation of projects to increase energy efficiency and perform engineering works on connecting existing buildings to the central heating system, and in accordance with the previously signed Contract, is carrying out activities to connect the building of the Financial Information Agency (FIA) and the Office for Audit of Institutions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at Ložionička Street number 3, in Sarajevo, to the district heating system of the Živko Jošilo boiler room.

The project implementation includes issuing preliminary and final energy approvals, procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, execution of mechanical and construction works on the construction of the connection heat pipeline, construction of a metering point in the building, preparation of a geodetic survey report of the connection heat pipeline route, procurement and installation of valves for central heating radiators, and connection of the business building.

With the implementation of these activities, Toplane has gained approximately 1,500 m2 of new heated space, thereby achieving more efficient use of existing systems, eliminating another boiler room that used liquid fuel as its primary energy source, and contributing to better air quality in the city center. By connecting the FIA building and the Office for Audit of Institutions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the district heating system of KJKP „Toplane - Sarajevo“ d.o.o., the heat consumption and energy efficiency of the Živko Jošilo boiler room have been increased, and a more secure supply of thermal energy to users has been ensured.

Completion of all activities on connecting the business building to the central heating system is expected by the start of the next heating season.
