During class, stabs schoolmate with screwdriver

A student of the Secondary Mechanical School “Nikola Tesla” in Teslić stabbed a schoolmate in the stomach with a screwdriver after a verbal altercation during practical classes, the Doboj Public Security Centre announced today, as reported by the Patria news agency.

The injured seventeen-year-old, after receiving medical assistance at the Teslić Health Centre, was transferred to the “Sveti apostol Luka” hospital in Doboj, where he was kept for treatment.

Based on the information gathered so far, the police determined that a verbal altercation occurred yesterday between the injured minor and his schoolmate during practical classes.

After leaving the building housing the workshop of the Secondary Mechanical School “Nikola Tesla” in Teslić, a physical fight broke out, during which the minor student, most likely with a screwdriver, inflicted a stab wound on the seventeen-year-old.

The juvenile prosecutor was informed of this incident, and upon their order, the police are taking necessary actions to gather facts needed for the classification of this criminal offense.
